A Beginner’s Guide to Playing The Sims 4
The Sims 4 has transitioned to a free-to-play model, allowing you to download the Base Game through the EA App for PC, Origin for Mac, or through the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store, depending on your console. Additionally, the game is available on Steam and Epic Games.
Any extra content, including Stuff Packs, Game Packs, Expansion Packs, or Kits, must be acquired separately from the appropriate online store.

- Kits – This section displays all the Kits you possess, along with a comprehensive list of all Kits available for The Sims 4, much like the Packs tab.
On the right side of the home screen, you’ll discover several additional options.
- Begin your journey in The Sims 4 with a fresh game!
- Engage in Play Scenarios in The Sims 4, where you can immerse yourself in goal-oriented narratives that are influenced by your decisions. Each scenario offers various potential endings, allowing you to explore numerous paths to achieve your objectives.
- Gallery – Your ultimate destination to explore artworks from creators across the globe!
- The Options menu offers a variety of additional selections, including Lessons, Game Settings, Release Notes, Credits, and additional features.
Please be aware that after initiating a new game, your display will present additional choices, such as continuing from your most recent save or selecting a particular save file. The home screen will resemble this format when you next launch The Sims 4.
Are you about to design your very first Sim?
As you embark on your journey in The Sims 4, your initial experience will involve the Create a Sim feature. You have a couple of options for designing your Sim, or even several Sims, to start your adventure.

To summon Emily, simply click on her icon located in the toolbar at the top right corner of your screen. This icon is available at any point in the game when you require assistance. You’ll encounter her for the first time in the Create A Sim section, and she will reappear as needed during your gameplay.
